HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges that he was wrongfully terminated from his job because of his age and disabilities.

David Blair filed a complaint on July 31 in the Harris County District Court against Laborde Products Inc. alleging that the former employer violated the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired as a parts manager for the defendant's Houston branch in February 2008 and was terminated on March 16, 2016. The plaintiff suffers from several medical conditions and he alleges that he was terminated because of his age (55) and because of his disabilities.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Kell A. Simon of Law Offices of Kell A. Simon in Austin.
