Medical malpractice 05

HOUSTON – A woman alleges her decedent died after a surgery because of negligence.

Andrea Biancucci, as wrongful death beneficiary of Quintino Biancucci, deceased filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Julia Holder-Haynes MD and Baylor College of Medicine alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 8, 2016, her decedent Quintino Biancucci underwent a left hemicolectomy with defendant Holder-Haynes. As a result of defendants' alleged negligence, the suit states he developed organ failure and septic shock and died on May 2, 2016.

The plaintiff holds Holder-Haynes and Baylor College of Medicine responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly perform damage control and failed to perform an ileostomy or colostomy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages sustained by plaintiff, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and proper relief. She is represented by Tommy R. Hastings and Gregory L. Feste of Hastings Law Firm PC in The Woodlands.
