Former Sundrill Energy Services employee alleges he was terminated without just cause

Wrongful term 11

HOUSTON – A former director for an energy company alleges he was terminated in violation of his employment contract.

Binh Thai filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in the Harris County Circuit Court against Sundrill Energy Services LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant as director of business development and marketing in May. He alleges he brought in multiple large deals but was unable to complete an agreement in July between Unit Petroleum Co. and the defendant because of tools the defendant could not provide. He alleges he was terminated in July because of performance.

The plaintiff holds Sundrill Energy Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated his employment without just cause, breaching the employment contract.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory, consequential and incidental damages, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and any further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Daniel B. Ross and Brett C. Beeler of Ross Law Group in Austin.
