Former tenant of LEDIC Realty Co. owned property seeks damages after shooting

HOUSTON – A former tenant of a Houston apartment complex is seeking $100,000 in damages after he was shot at the property.

Carlos Zuniga filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the Harris County District Court against LEDIC Realty Co. LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a resident of Village Park Apartments in Houston, which was owned by the defendant. He alleges that on May 15, 2016, he was robbed, attacked and shot by certain individuals at defendant's property. He claims he sustained serious injuries and went through extensive medical and therapy treatment.

The plaintiff holds LEDIC Realty Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate security systems and security officers to secure the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of at least $100,000, compensatory and punitive damages, interest, attorney's fees and any further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Justice B. Abjei of The Law Offices of Justice B. Abjei in Houston.
