HOUSTON – A crane operator alleges he was injured as a result of a chemical exposure in Chambers County.
Ronald Jefferies filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the Galveston County District Court against Ascend Performance Materials LLC and Wyatt Field Services Co. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 6, 2016, he was employed by Hunter Equipment and contracted by Ascend for Wyatt as a crane operator. He alleges that on that day, he was hit by a chemical release exposure and was injured.
The plaintiff holds Ascend Performance Materials LLC and Wyatt Field Services Co. responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently created a dangerous chemical environment when it was unsafe to do so and failed to warn plaintiff of the hazardous environment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and any further relief that is lawful and equitable. He is represented by David P. Petersen of The Law Offices of David P. Petersen PC in Houston.
