Motorist seeks more than $200,000 in damages after Harris County collision

Car accident 21

BEAUMONT – A Fort Bend County motorist has filed suit against a Beaumont man after a collision in Harris County.

Patricia Pabon filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in the Jefferson County District Court against James Conley alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2016, she sustained severe and permanent injuries when her vehicle was struck by defendant's vehicle on South Sam Houston Parkway in Harris County. She alleges she has suffered pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Conley responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to keep an assured clear distance between his vehicle and other vehicles on the road.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Terry Bryant and Brooksie Bonvillain of Terry Bryant PLLC in Houston.
