Man seeks damages after Nederland collision

Car accident 25

BEAUMONT – A Nederland man alleges he was injured in a collision on East Lucas Street in Nederland when a driver failed to yield to the right of way.

Johnnie Carter filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the Jefferson County District Court against Jacob Underwood, Allyson Jaubert and Charles Rhame alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct 3, 2015, he sustained severe injuries to his neck, back, left shoulder and left knee when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle owned by defendant Jaubert and operated by defendant Underwood. The suit states the defendant vehicle was insured by Rhame.

The plaintiff holds Underwood, Jaubert and Rhame responsible because defendant Underwood allegedly failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff seeks damages, interest, costs of this suit and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Jonathan Juhan and J. J. Bragg in Beaumont.
