Man seeks more than $200,000 after fall at Texas City McDonald's

Slip01

GALVESTON – A patron at a Texas City McDonald's alleges he was injured in a fall caused by a wet floor.

Bonifacio Filoteo filed a complaint on Aug. 21 in the Galveston County District Court against Broadway 53 LLC and McDonald's alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 21, 2015, he was walking at the defendants' premises when he slipped and fell on a wet floor. He alleges he has suffered physical injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Broadway 53 LLC and McDonald's responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to construct the walking surface with non-slip materials and failed to adequately warn their invitees of the dangerous condition of the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million. He is represented by Scot G. Dollinger of Dollinger Law Firm in Houston.
