HOUSTON – A manual laborer for a developer and designer of well testing schematics and procedures for oil and gas companies allege that he was not paid overtime compensation.

Bryant Gonzalez, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against J6 Energy Services LLC and Jury Valladarez alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he normally worked in excess of 40 hours per workweek without receiving overtime premiums. The plaintiff holds J6 Energy Services LLC and Valladarez responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay employees' proper overtime compensation and failed to maintain accurate pay records as required by the FLSA.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to recover unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, litigation costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other necessary and equitable relief. He is represented by Douglas B. Welmaker of Dunham & Jones PC in Austin.
