HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County woman alleges she was injured at a Katy business while getting a pedicure.

Elizabeth Collazo filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Grandlux Enterprises LLC, doing business as Grandlux Nail Lounge, alleging premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 12, she was a customer at defendant's premises to purchase and receive a pedicure. She alleges she injured her right foot when she stepped down from the chair because the chair was elevated from the ground floor.

The plaintiff holds Grandlux Enterprises LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make proper repairs to the dangerous condition and failed to warn invitees of the existence of such condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and such other general and special relief. She is represented by Jose R. Guerrero and David Salazar of Salazar Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
