Consumer seeks damages from Experian, Account Resolution Services over allegedly inaccurate trade-line

Late 02

HOUSTON – A Spring consumer alleges that an alleged debt he has disputed has not been reinvestigated.

William Creggett filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Account Resolution Services LLC and Experian Information Solutions Inc. alleging that they violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff sent multiple letters to Account Resolution Services in April asking it to validate an alleged debt. He also alleges he asked Experian to correct the purported inaccuracy of the trade-line.

The plaintiff holds Account Resolution Services LLC and Experian Information Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly have been reporting derogatory and inaccurate statements regarding his credit history to various consumer reporting agencies.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory, punitive and statutory damages, attorneys’ fees and such other appropriate relief. He is represented by Michael S. Agruss of Agruss Law Firm LLC in Chicago.
