HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was injured at a home improvement store because of the conditions in the parking lot.
Hiram Cacola filed a complaint on Sept. 9 in the Harris County District Court against Lowe's Cos. Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 3 he received personal injuries while exiting defendant's Houston store. He alleges he fell on a slick handicap sign painted on the parking lot that was wet from rain. He alleges he sustained serious injuries to his hips, legs, back and neck and was caused to suffer medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of earning capacity.
The plaintiff holds Lowe's Cos. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make a dangerous condition safe and failed to inform plaintiff of such condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no more than $75,000, penalties, costs, expenses and such other relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by Michael L. Grinsfelder and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
