CPP Enterprise LLC seeks more than $12,000 for alleged damages to rental equipment

GALVESTON – A company is seeking damages from a painting business after rental equipment was damaged during a project.

CPP Enterprise LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 22 in the Galveston County District Court against Atlas Painting LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff placed a work order with the defendant for the defendant to paint a project in December 2015 and the plaintiff rented a Genie Z62/40 articulating boom for use during the project. The plaintiff alleges the defendant's employee damaged the equipment during use and that it suffered damages in the amount of $12,719.50 for the repair expenses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages for the sum of $12,719.50, attorney's fees of at least $3,000, costs of suit, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other and further relief. It is represented by Keith W. Marshall of Law Office of Keith W. Marshall in Richardson.
