HOUSTON — A worker is suing Allegiance Roofing & Contracting Services LLC, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent workplace injuries.

Adelfo Aguilar filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in the Galveston County District Court against the roofing company, alleging that the firm failed to provide a reasonably safe place to work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 18, 2015, he was seriously injured while working under defendant's direction and supervision when he fell from a ladder. He has suffered pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of earning capacity and medical expenses, the complaint says. The plaintiff holds Allegiance Roofing & Contracting responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly train and supervise its employees and failed to implement adequate safeguards to prevent the situation that caused plaintiff's injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million. He is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo and Brandon D. Morris of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
