Bedrock Petroleum Consultants LLC, Apache Corp. alleged to have failed to pay overtime

Law money 03

HOUSTON – A Missouri man formerly employed as a logistics coordinator/drilling report clerk for two Houston companies alleges he is owed unpaid wages.

Durwin J. Gipson filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Bedrock Petroleum Consultants LLC and Apache Corp. alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between October 2016 and June 2017, he worked 98 hours in numerous 15-day workweeks for defendants without receiving the appropriate premium for his overtime work.

The plaintiff holds Bedrock Petroleum Consultants LLC and Apache Corp. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to compensate him at a rate of one-and-one-half times his regular rate of pay for each hour worked in excess of 40 in a workweek.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime, liquidated damages, injunctive relief, declaratory relief, attorney’s fee, costs and litigation expenses and such other and further relief. He is represented by Charles L. Scalise and Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Austin.
