HOUSTON – A Harris County couple alleges their home was damaged when a valve on their water heater failed.

Thomas Scott and Linda Scott filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Honeywell International Inc. alleging strict liability design defect, negligence and breach of warranty.

The suit states that the estimated restoration cost is $115,276.70 and the cost for their relocation during restoration period is estimated at $5,000.
