Transport company sues former employees for misusing confidential information, trade secrets

HOUSTON – Tomball-based R.L. Walker Transport, Inc. has sued two former employees for what the company perceives as unfair competition, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Court papers filed in the Harris County 281st District Court on Oct. 6 accuse Karen McSheehy and Devin Fitch of using confidential information and trade secrets acquired during their employment with the plaintiff and using them “for their own advantage and to the detriment” of their former employer.

R.L. Walker employed McSheehy in its billing department while Fitch was employed as a driver.

Per the complainant, the individuals unlawfully took proprietary information and disclosed said information to third parties.

The suit lists Alvarado Trucking & Oilfield Services, Inc. as a co-defendant.

A jury trial is requested.

Attorneys Ronald L. Bair and Wilbourn T. Woodard of the law firm BairHilty, P.C. in Houston are representing the plaintiff.
