Former Archrock Services employee alleges he was terminated for filing workers' comp claim

Wrongful term 02

HOUSTON – A Monahans man alleges that he was terminated in retaliation after he was injured on the job.

Roy Nunez filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in the Harris County District Court against Archrock Services LP alleging workers' compensation retaliation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 10, 2016, he suffered an on-the-job injury while performing regular work duties and reported the injuries to his supervisor. On Aug. 15, 2016, only five days after his injury, he alleges he was terminated from his employment.

As a result, he alleges he has suffered substantial economic losses and severe emotional distress.

The plaintiff holds Archrock Services LP responsible because the defendant allegedly retaliated against him and terminated his employment for filing a workers' compensation claim.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other just and equitable relief. He is represented by Alex Aguirre and Andrea De La Garza of The Aguirre Law Firm PLLC in San Antonio.
