Woman alleges she was injured in slip and fall at Beaumont Walmart

Slip02

BEAUMONT – A shopper at the Dowlen Road, Beaumont Walmart alleges that she was injured in a fall at the store.

Darlene Yarbrough filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in the Jefferson County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 23, 2015, she was seriously injured when she slipped and fell on a puddle of water at defendant's store. Because of her injuries, she alleges she has suffered medical expenses, lost earnings, pain, mental anguish and disfigurement.

The plaintiff holds Walmart Stores Texas LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care to reduce or eliminate the risk and failed to warn of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by Jonathan C. Juhan and J.J. Bragg of Jonathan C. Juhan, Attorney at Law in Beaumont.
