Man seeks more than $1 million from Precise Care EMS over alleged injuries after falling from stretcher

Medical malpractice 04

HOUSTON – A patient alleges improperly trained employees of a Richmond company caused him injuries.

Clarence Garner filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Theodore Akalonu, doing business as Precise Care EMS, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 4, 2015, he was being moved by defendant's employees when he was thrown from the stretcher onto concrete. He alleges he sustained personal injuries and damages.

The plaintiff holds Theodore Akalonu responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly improperly moved the stretcher sideways and failed to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other general and special relief. He is represented by Allen H. Kline Jr. of The Kline Law Firm in Houston.
