GALVESTON – A Galveston County general contractor claims that a Brazoria County corporation failed to complete a construction project.

Richard C. Vaiani Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the Galveston County District Court against Milspec Services Inc. and Paul Hartman alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 22, the parties entered into an agreement whereby defendants would provide services for a construction of a new home for the plaintiff's customer.

Prior to the commencement of the project, plaintiff made payments totaling $103,000 as reflected by the payment receipt dated Sept. 25, the suit states.

The plaintiff holds Milspec Services Inc. and Hartman responsible because in spite of payments, defendants allegedly have done little construction, abandoned the project and refused to return the amounts paid.

The plaintiff seeks monetary damages with interest, costs of court, attorney's fees and such other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by William E. Griffey of William E. Griffey PLLC in Galveston.
