HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was assaulted by a Taco Bell employee in Houston.
Emele Overshown filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Taco Bell of America LLC and John Doe alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, he was severely and permanently injured when defendant John Doe, an employee of Taco Bell, assaulted him, broke his arm and caused other serious and debilitating injuries. The plaintiff alleges John Doe pursued him for several blocks from the restaurant.
The plaintiff holds Taco Bell of America LLC and John Doe responsible because defendant John Doe allegedly failed to call the police, failed to follow Taco Bell's policies and procedures and wrongfully used excessive physical force to injure him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million, costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other legal and equitable relief. He is represented by Mark B. Levin of Stern Law Group in Bellaire.
