HOUSTON – A man injured at an oil and gas will owned by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. alleges the company and others failed to warn him of the dangerous condition.
Kyle O'Neil filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Precision Drilling Corp. and Precision Drilling Co. LP alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Sept. 23, 2015, he was shocked and electrocuted while working at a well owned by Anadarko in Lubbock County. He alleges his heart stopped, which required CPR to revive him at the scene. He alleges he has suffered extreme pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages and was required to undergo substantial and necessary medical treatment.
The plaintiff holds Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Precision Drilling Corp. and Precision Drilling Co. LP responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly implement safety policies and procedures during well operations, failed to properly maintain oilfield equipment and to failed to warn him of the unreasonably dangerous condition.
The plaintiff seeks damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and further relief. He is represented by Ryan H. Zehl, Kevin C. Haynes and Matt L. Martin of Zehl & Associates PC in Houston.
