HOUSTON – A Harris County man sued the county after he was allegedly assaulted in the jail.

Mark Tennyson’s lawsuit implicates the county and two unidentified individuals in the Mar. 3, 2016 event in question.

Recent court documents filed in the Harris County 157th District Court on Nov. 27 explain that authorities were interrogating Tennyson when an employee grabbed and twisted his arm and subsequently body slammed him on his neck, head, and shoulder.

According to the plaintiff, the attack was unprovoked.

“The impact of the body slam dislocated Mr. Tennyson’s shoulder,” the suit says.

It further claims that Tennyson’s requests for medical attention were ignored for nearly six hours following the subject incident.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by attorney Andre D. Evans of the law firm Andre Evans & Associates, PLLC in Houston.
