Outback Steakhouse guest seeks more than $200,000 after fall on wet floor

HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges that a Sugar Land restaurant failed to warn of a wet floor.

Penny Jones filed a complaint on Dec. 1, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Outback Steakhouse of Florida LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 4, 2017, she was injured when she slipped and fell in the foyer at defendant's Outback restaurant in Sugar Land because of water on the floor. She alleges she sustained injuries and damages resulting in pain and suffering, physical impairment, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Outback Steakhouse of Florida LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn its guests of the existence of an unreasonably dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief. She is represented by Brock C. Akers of The Akers Firm PLLC in Houston.
