HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges that her landlords did not remedy mold growth in her apartment.

Meagen Richards filed a complaint on Dec. 3, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Stoneleigh Sierra LLC, Ling Sierra Apartments LLC, et al. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff signed a lease with the defendants in August 2014 and it was renewed with a termination date of September 2016. She alleges she notified the defendants of mold growth, roof leaks and bursting pipes but the defendants did not repair the issues.

The plaintiff holds Stoneleigh Sierra LLC, Ling Sierra Apartments LLC, et al. responsible because she alleges she was damaged by paying rent on a property she was forced to leave because of its conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and exemplary damages, attorneys' fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest, and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Christy Dockery of Dockery Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
