VALENTINE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC vs INTER-CONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP, INC. 2:17-cv-00754-JRG-RSP
Valentine Communications has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of United States Patent Numbers 8,567,672 and 8,590,785.
The ‘672 patent, entitled “Location Based Discounts,” was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Oct. 29, 2013 while the ‘785 patent, entitled “Discounts in a Mobile Device,” was issued on Nov. 26, 2013, per recent court documents.
Gregory J. Mesaros is purportedly listed as the subject patents’ inventor.
Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
It is represented by attorneys Thomas C. Wright, Ph.D. and Alex J. Whitman of the law firm Cunningham Swaim, LLP in Dallas.
