GALVESTON – Three Texas men have filed a personal injury lawsuit as a result of a platform explosion last month, recent Galveston County court records show.

Robert Reyes, Jorge Castillo, and Francisco Navarrete blame the Nov. 8 incident which occurred on the Shell Enchilada platform on Shell International Exploration and Production Inc.; Shell Offshore, Inc.; and Garden Banks Gas Pipeline, LLC.

Court papers allege the platform burst into flames and severely injured the plaintiffs and others. According to the men, their injuries include those to the head, neck, back and other parts of their bodies.

Consequently, the complainants seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Their lead counsel is Kurt Arnold of the law firm Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston.
