GALVESTON – A Brazoria County woman alleges the title to a mobile home given to her as a wedding gift was never signed over to her.

Brittany Pennington filed a complaint on Dec. 11, 2017, in the Galveston County District Court against Gavino DeLeon and Georgia Ramona Hairston alleging conversion.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2015, defendants gave a mobile home to her as a wedding gift without signing the title over to her. Since then, the suit states the plaintiff has occupied the property, made improvements to it and paid the lease on the lot at the mobile home park.

The plaintiff alleges that the defendants have entered into a lease agreement for the rental of the property.

The plaintiff seeks an order preventing defendants from selling or leasing the property during the pendency of this suit and directing defendants to endorse and deliver the certificate of title to plaintiff, award for actual damages, with interest, costs and fees and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Mark Aronowitz in Texas City.
