HOUSTON – A consumer has filed suit against a tire shop over allegations of fraud after he sought service at the shop.
Nasser Cheab filed a complaint on Dec. 14, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against The Renalt-Thomas Corp., doing business as Discount Tire/America's Tire, et al. alleging fraud.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff states he requested that the defendants repair his tire, but instead they replaced it with a tire that "was much cheaper in brand and style." He alleges the tire was under warranty and "should have been replaced with an equal or greater version of the original tire."
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is representing himself.
