HOUSTON – A Mississippi man alleges his employer's negligence caused the amputation of both of his legs.

James Ainswoth filed a complaint on Dec. 14, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Noble Energy Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 10, 2017, he was injured while working on the defendant's land rig. He alleges he sustained catastrophic injuries, including amputation of his legs and severe injuries to other parts of his body.

The plaintiff holds Noble Energy Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly supervise and train its employees, failed to inspect and maintain its equipment and failed to warn plaintiff of the unreasonably dangerous condition of the equipment in question.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million. He is represented by Jason A. Itkin, Noah M. Wexler, Ben Bireley and Rebecca L. Adams of Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston.
