Tractor-trailer driver seeks damages from Roadrunner Transportation, driver after collision

Semi crash 01

GALVESTON – A Louisiana tractor-trailer driver has filed suit against another tractor-trailer driver and his employer over alleged injuries sustained in a collision in Chambers County.

Robert Gaspard filed a complaint on Dec. 20, 2017, in the Galveston County District Court against Kenneth Hariston and Roadrunner Transportation Systems alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 20, 2017, he was injured when the tractor-trailer he was operating was struck in the rear by another tractor-trailer operated by Hariston, which was owned by defendant Roadrunner Transportation. The suit states the collision occurred on Interstate 10 in Baytown. As a result of the violent impact, he alleges he sustained injuries to his head, neck, back, right knee, left shoulder and left elbow.

The plaintiff holds Kenneth Hariston and Roadrunner Transportation Systems responsible because defendant Hariston allegedly failed to be attentive, failed to see what should have seen and failed to stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages which shall be proven to be properly due, with legal interest, costs of these proceedings and all other general and equitable relief. He is represented by Emily Gremillion Meche, Brian Caubarreaux and Brock Duke of Brian Caubarreaux & Associates in Marksville, Louisiana.
