Professional Foot and Ankle Surgical Center PA patient alleges no evidence of nerve entrapment

Medical malpractice 07

HOUSTON – A patient of a surgical center alleges she underwent unnecessary surgery.

Gladys Escobar filed a complaint on Dec. 20, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against David S. Jenson DPM PA and Professional Foot and Ankle Surgical Center PA alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between October 2015 and December 2015, she underwent five surgeries to treat her bunions and allegedly entrapped nerves on her heel under the defendants' care. She alleges the multiple procedures were unnecessary and there was no evidence of nerve entrapment pre-operatively.

As a result of defendants' alleged negligence, she claims she has suffered pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Jenson and Professional Foot and Ankle Surgical Center PA responsible because the defendants allegedly diagnosed her with entrapped nerves without conducting any nerve studies.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Tommy R. Hastings and Gregory L. Feste of Hastings Law Firm PC in The Woodlands.
