GALVESTON – An apparent failure to rebuild a Lexus has prompted a Galveston County man to file a breach of contract lawsuit.

According to court documents filed on Dec. 17 in the Galveston County Court at Law No. 1, David Lauriano, Jr., of La Marque, entered into an agreement with Galveston local Gary Kohr to repair his Lexus SC300 in late 2016. Lauriano reportedly consented to provide an engine and shell of the vehicle while Kohr was to gather all other essential parts and materials.

The suit says that the plaintiff paid $11,577 in three divided payments, but the defendant failed to uphold his part of the contract.

“The plaintiff relied on the defendant’s representations to his detriment, and as a result of such reliance, has now resulted in injury to the plaintiff,” the complaint states.

Consequently, Lauriano seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is representing himself.
