HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County man alleges he was injured while painting a house.

Jose Luis Rodriguez filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Ray A. Torres, doing business as Ray's Repairs, and Reynaldo D. Moreno alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 22, 2017, he was hired by defendants to paint the interior of a two-story house located at 3903 Pleasant Valley in Missouri City. He alleges that he suffered serious injuries when he fell from the scaffolding while working.

The plaintiff holds Torres and Moreno responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper training and supervision, failed to identify a hazardous condition and failed to warn plaintiff of the hazardous condition.

The plaintiff seeks damages in an amount within the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and further relief. He is represented by James M. Lassiter III and Timothy M. McHale of Lassiter Law Firm in Houston.
