Woman alleges she was injured after slipping on smoothie at Galleria Mall Houston

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman is seeking more than $200,000 after a fall at the Galleria Mall Houston.

Rachael Elise Murdoch filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Service Management Systems Inc., doing business as SMSI Inc., and HG Galleria LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 5, 2017, she was severely injured when she slipped on a smoothie that was spilled on the floor at the defendant's premises. She alleges she sustained injuries that required surgery.

The plaintiff holds Service Management Systems Inc. and HG Galleria LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly were negligent in maintaining the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Husein Hadi, Jamil Thomas, Carnegie H. Mims III and Kayvon Alihossini of The Hadi Law Firm in Houston.
