HOUSTON – A contractor alleges he was injured while cleaning a tank at a Deer Park facility.

Aaron Jackson filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Intergulf Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 14, 2017, he was contracted by defendant to clean the tank at its Deer Park facility. While entering the tank, the suit states the manway cover fell off of the tank and onto his leg, injuring his knee and leg.

The plaintiff holds Intergulf Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect and repair the manway and failed to maintain a safe work environment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court and all other relief to which he is entitled to receive. He is represented by Anthony G. Buzbee and Andrew Dao of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
