Treadwright Tires LLC employee alleges tire explosion caused wrist injury

HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was injured while working at a tire shop when a tire exploded during inflation.

Carlos Argenis Ramos Sanchez filed a complaint on Jan. 5 in the Harris County District Court against Treadwright Tires LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 19, 2016, he working as a balancer for the defendant and was inflating tires when the equipment he was using malfunctioned and caused the tire to explode and injure him.

He alleges he sustained severe and debilitating injuries to his wrist and will most likely be disabled for the rest of his life. 

The plaintiff holds Treadwright Tires LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate training and supervision regarding the safe performance of his job and failed to repair equipment.

The plaintiff seeks actual and compensatory damages, prejudgment interest, costs of court and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Michael C. Howard in Houston.
