American Welding Services Corp. alleged to owe more than $53,000 for rental equipment

GALVESTON – An equipment rental company claims a Galveston man and a corporation have failed to pay for provided rental equipment.

Sunbelt Rentals Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Galveston County District Court against American Welding Services Corp. and Christopher T. Gray alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between August 2016 and January 2017, it provided rental equipment to defendants in accordance with their agreement. After lawful offsets, payments and credits, the amount of at least $53,100.64 allegedly remains due and unpaid. 

The plaintiff seeks actual damages of at least $53,100.64, with interest, attorney's fees, costs of court and any other relief to which it may show itself justly entitled. It is represented by Monica Schulz Orlando of Orlando & Orlando LLP in Houston.
