Passenger sues Metro Bus operator, motorist over injuries alleged sustained in collision

Car accident 19

HOUSTON – A passenger on a Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County bus is seeking damages over a collision that allegedly caused him injuries.

Aaron Kellow filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Harris County District Court against the defendants alleging Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County and Suemy Kay-Cho alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 20, 2017, he was a passenger on a Metro Bus No. 3230 when the motor vehicle being driven by Kay-Cho collided with the bus. He alleges he sustained bodily injuries as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County and Kay-Cho responsible because defendant Metro's driver and defendant Kay-Cho's allegedly failed to keep proper lookout and failed to maintain a safe distance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Scott P. Armstrong and Joshua D. Lee of Armstrong Lee Savage LLP in Houston.
