HOUSTON – A guest of a Humble business claims she tripped because of safety fencing in front of the store.

Bessie Sennett filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Harris County District Court against Papa Murphy's Co. Stores Inc. and Corinthian Contracting LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 29, 2017, she was seriously and permanently injured when she tripped and fell while approaching defendant Papa Murphy's store in Humble. She alleges she tripped on inadequately secured safety fencing related to construction performed by Corinthian.

The plaintiff holds Papa Murphy's Co. Stores Inc. and Corinthian Contracting LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect the premises and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and further relief. She is represented by Kristine M. Gregg and John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
