Consumer claims Automated Safety Hitch Inc. never delivered product he ordered

Law money 06

HOUSTON – A Katy consumer claims he paid more than $14,000 for a hitch from a Sanger company that was never delivered.

Ron Graves filed a complaint on Jan. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Automated Safety Hitch Inc. alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 19, 2017, he purchased defendant's safety hitch for $14,267. The suit states that based upon defendant's guidance, recommendations and expected completion date, he also purchased a recreational vehicle and an F-350 truck to pull the RV. He alleges the defendant failed to deliver the hitch and without it, his truck cannot pull the RV and he had to trade it in for an F-450.

The plaintiff holds Automated Safety Hitch Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to deliver the safety hitch and has not returned his money.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of less than $100,000 and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Robert E. Petersen and Joseph V. Gibson IV of JVG Law PLLC in Tomball.
