HOUSTON – An Asian restaurant consortium faces a lawsuit from a female member who alleges it is withholding her wages, per recent Harris County District Court records.

Court documents filed on Jan. 12 in the Harris County 270th District Court state that Qi Zhang invested $60,000 for a ten percent membership interest in New TNL LLC on the suggestion of her colleagues Junyuan Tan, Choudong Xu, and Zhenggang Mai, as well as secured employment at the Toro Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar located at 10694 Westheimer Rd. in Houston.

Working at the eatery for the agreed upon amount of $100 a day, the suit says, Zhang did not receive any money.

She asserts that she attempted to contact the individuals regarding the back pay in question and access to the venture’s books and records to no avail.

Consequently, the complainant demands the return of her $60,000 investment and additional unspecified monetary damages.

A jury trial is requested.

Annisah M. Andang of the law firm Nguyen & Chen, LLP in Houston serves as Zhang’s lead counsel.
