HOUSTON – A McDonald's employee alleges an unsafe work environment caused her to fall.

Maria Perez filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the Harris County District Court against The Kades Corp., doing business as McDonald's, and Mary Kay Bell alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan, 12, 2016, she was injured when she slipped and fell when she stepped on a container that was on the floor at defendants' restaurant. She alleges she sustained serious and disabling injuries that resulted in physical pain, mental anguish, loss of earnings and necessary medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the Kades Corp., doing business as McDonald's, and Bell responsible because the defendants' employees allegedly negligently allowed the creation and continued existence of a dangerous condition in the premises.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, and such other and further relief. She is represented by Amy Nguyen of Nguyen & Del Cid PC in Houston.
