Athens-based MyMail is the plaintiff.
It has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of United States Patent Number 8,732,318.
The ‘318 patent, entitled “Method of Connecting a User to a Network,” was reportedly issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on May 20, 2014.
According to recent court documents, the ‘318 patent “comprises a method of and apparatus for simplifying the process of access to a network for a roaming computer user, divides the responsibility of servicing a given user wanting to access the network between multiple parties and minimizes the possibility of improper dissemination of email header data as well as improper use of network resources by non-clients.”
Consequently, MyMail seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
