MARSHALL – An East Texas man is suing Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. and Cameron LNG, LLC for allegedly rescinding his employment because he wears a prosthetic limb.

David Rice states that the defendants offered him the position of instrument fitter foreman last year, adding he divulged to them that he was amputee but can climb without a problem.

His lawsuit asserts though the companies hired him, he did not receive a job assignment.

The respondents purportedly placed his employment on hold out of concerns regarding his disability.

Rice believes he was never given the promised position.

Consequently, he seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Gregory S. Porter of The Porter Law Firm, P.C. in Tyler is representing the plaintiff.
