Shan LLC employee alleges forklift caused foot injury

HOUSTON – An employee is seeking damages after his foot allegedly was injured by a forklift while working.

Denis Murillo filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the Harris Circuit Court against Shan LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 21, 2016, he was employed by the defendant and experienced great pain when his foot was crushed by a forklift. He alleges the incident caused a fracture in his foot that needed medical treatment. 

The plaintiff holds Shan LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make sure that the forklift was perfectly working and failed to maintain a safe workplace.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, actual damages, medical damages, exemplary damages and interest. He is represented by Sofia E. Bruera of Bruera Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
