HOUSTON – Claiming she sustained injuries while attempting to use an elevator more than a year ago, Houston resident Anne E. Hosker has pursued legal action.

Hosker brought a lawsuit against TPMC Realty Investment Corp. and Thyssenkrupp Elevator Corp. on Feb. 1, stating she encountered a slip and fall on the eighth floor lobby of an office building located at 1233 West Loop South.

The suit says the elevator stopped too high without warning, and the plaintiff tried to enter the elevator, she tripped on its high floor and was thrown to the rear wall.

The defendants purportedly failed to properly maintain and inspect the elevator.

Consequently, Hosker seeks approximately $1.3 million in damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Steven Engelhardt of the law firm Engelhardt Law PLLC in Houston.
