Central Houston Motorcars LLC guest seeks damages over fall injuries allegedly caused by rug

HOUSTON – A Missouri City man alleges he was injured at a Houston business because of a rug on the floor.

Melvin Green filed a complaint on Feb. 5 in the Harris County District Court against Central Houston Motorcars LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct 1, 2016, he was an invited guest at defendant's commercial property and sustained injuries when he fell over a portion of floor that was partially covered with a rug. He alleges he suffered severe injuries to his head, neck and back.

The plaintiff holds Central Houston Motorcars LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises for any dangerous conditions and failed to maintain safe grounds.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court, and such other general and special relief. He is represented by Alan Kolodny of Kolodny Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
