GALVESTON – A local hotel bar manager who is one of the defendants in a late 2017 lawsuit alleging physical assault reportedly requested more time to respond.
Recent Galveston County District Court records show Ashley Nicole Jasper filed a motion to extend into Lisa A. Barfield’s suit late last month.
Barfield claims Jasper refused her service at The Tremont House Rooftop Bar and attacked her on Dec. 12, 2015.
Jasper’s two-page motion says the respondent “requests additional time to properly prepare an answer or otherwise respond to the complaint.”
Wyndham, The Tremont House’s parent company, provided an original answer on Jan. 19.
